Action sports were built from the ground up. In backyards, empty pools, lineups, and dirt tracks, long before anyone was handing out trophies. Cannabis has long been part of the culture surrounding these sports, even when the industry looked the other way. April is our favorite month at Weedmaps. It's when our teams from across the US and Canada come together to celebrate 4/20. We’re excited to highlight Andy Patskowski, our new VP of Business Operations, who brings a unique perspective to how we build at Weedmaps. Andy’s career has taken him from the construction sites of Wisconsin to leadership roles at Whole Foods Market and ChowNow. While he’s traded a tool belt for tech, he still draws on his years as a carpenter to define his work ethic and his approach to business. For Andy, successful operations in 2026 is about more than just managing tasks; it’s about creating alignment in a hybrid world. As he puts it: “The key for Business Operations is building durable systems which ensure strategic initiatives are executed well cross-functionally. Our team acts as the glue holding initiatives together.” In an industry that moves as fast as cannabis, Andy is focused on using data and clear documentation to move the team from strategy to results. He’s a firm believer that while AI and remote tools are now "table stakes," the real impact comes from a team’s ability to collaborate and solve complex problems together. Welcome to the team, Andy!
