About us

We could tell you that "Wood Rodgers, Inc. is a multidisciplinary engineering, planning, surveying, and mapping consulting firm headquartered in Sacramento, California with offices located throughout California and Nevada." and that would be accurate, albeit humorless and boring, but accurate. Instead we'd like give you insight into our culture: We are not your stereotypical engineers. We are visionaries. No pocket protectors allowed. The people and the spirit driving our company are open-minded, creative and passionate. We don't challenge the status quo because it's fun or that, by nature, we are difficult to get along with. We challenge everything...because everything needs to be challenged. If you are serious, dedicated and driven to uncover new and exciting solutions, you will find yourself at the forefront of the entire industry, shouting the battle cry. Sometimes feeling a little alone and unsure, you will never be there by yourself. Our whole company is in this together and we will always have your back. Always challenging, often difficult...ours is a life of invention.

  • What happens when you combine friendly competition, teamwork, and a little bit of spice? Earlier this month, our Roseville and Sacramento offices challenged their Partners to a Hot Ones-inspired event, testing their tolerance for increasingly spicy wings while answering questions along the way. The challenge delivered plenty of laughs, memorable reactions, and a surprising level of endurance—with all but one Partner finishing the full lineup. More importantly, the event served a greater purpose. Donations were made to Sierra College Basic Needs Center Food Pantry and Sacramento State ASI Food Pantry, turning a fun team-building activity into an opportunity to support our community.

  • This Parks and Recreation Month, we are proud to highlight the recently renovated Castle Park in Folsom, California. Originally built through a community-led effort in 1996, Folsom Kids Play Park—known locally as Castle Park—has served generations of families as a place for recreation, imagination, and connection. As the original wooden play structures approached the end of their service life, the City of Folsom partnered with Robert Leathers and project stakeholders to create a refreshed vision that honors the park's legacy while improving accessibility and functionality. Wood Rodgers supported the project by providing landscape architecture services, including demolition and grading plans, site layout, accessible pathways, a commemorative donor wall, and upgraded site amenities designed to create a welcoming experience for all visitors. The project was especially meaningful for members of our landscape architecture team whose families have enjoyed Castle Park for years. Their involvement in the community build effort reflects the collaborative spirit that has defined this park from the beginning. We are honored to have contributed to a project that will serve the Folsom community for generations to come.

  • Meet Percy, our Office Dog of the Month! This 2.5-year-old miniature long-haired Dachshund is a familiar face in our San Diego office. Percy enjoys accompanying his mom throughout the workday and making connections with coworkers along the way. His friendly personality and daily office visits bring plenty of smiles to the team.
