Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a growing operations-focused organization seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting activities and lead a small team within a fast-paced environment. This individual will play a key role in supporting financial operations, improving processes, and ensuring accuracy across accounting functions

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a small accounting team, including workload management, coaching, training, and day-to-day oversight
• Oversee general accounting activities, including account reconciliations, transaction review, and financial record maintenance
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Review financial transactions and account activity to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies
• Prepare and review financial reports related to cash flow, aging, account reconciliations, and operational performance
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to support business initiatives, financial analysis, and process improvements
• Support internal and external audit activities and ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, strengthen accounting processes, and enhance reporting capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience required
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team management experience preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience utilizing ERP systems and advanced Excel skills in a high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
