About the Opportunity
Our client is expanding its litigation team to meet increasing demand for landlord-tenant and real estate litigation throughout California. This role offers the opportunity to manage a high-volume litigation practice while receiving direct mentorship from an experienced attorney committed to professional development.
Attorneys in this position handle unlawful detainer actions from intake through trial while gaining exposure to broader real estate disputes, property litigation, and land-use matters. The practice provides substantial courtroom experience and a clear path toward increased independence and long-term career growth.
Responsibilities
Manage unlawful detainer matters from intake through trial
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation filings
Attend hearings, court appearances, and trial proceedings
Prepare cases for trial and develop litigation strategy
Handle landlord-tenant disputes and related property litigation
Participate in real estate and land-use litigation matters
Maintain direct communication with clients and provide strategic legal guidance
Independently manage an active litigation caseload while collaborating with firm leadership
Recommended Qualifications
Active California Bar admission in good standing
3+ years of landlord-tenant, eviction, or civil litigation experience
Experience handling unlawful detainer litigation
Courtroom experience, including hearings and motion practice
Real estate litigation experience strongly preferred
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with land-use litigation
Trial experience in unlawful detainer or real estate disputes
Ability to independently manage litigation matters from inception through resolution
Interest in expanding a long-term real estate litigation practice
