The CFO for Investment Banking and Capital Markets (IBCM) provides deep financial expertise, strategic partnership, and operational support to line leadership. This role owns financial planning, forecasting, and performance management, translating strategy into financial outcomes. It also leads reporting and analysis for key stakeholders including the Board of Directors, Investor Relations, and regulators, while ensuring financial integrity and strong controls across the Finance division. This role supports a large and complex business, requiring advanced financial leadership across multiple business units, products, and functions, as well as high-impact decision-making.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy and execution for a large and complex line of business.
• Provide strategic financial consultation to senior leadership, including pricing, profitability, investment cases, and M&A opportunities.
• Own financial planning, forecasting, and performance management processes.
• Lead reporting and analysis for key stakeholders including the Board of Directors, Investor Relations, and regulators.
• Ensure financial integrity and strong internal controls across the Finance division.
• Manage a team of finance professionals, providing coaching, development, and performance oversight.
• Influence cross-functional decisions and drive high-impact financial outcomes.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent education and related training.
• Fifteen years of relevant finance or accounting experience that includes complex financial analysis and leadership/supervision of finance teams
• Incumbent must possess the significant industry experience and business vision to provide leadership to support to the division manager and Executive leadership and demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity.
• Sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes. Ability to build consensus through communication and presentation of factual and relevant information.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interpret and communicate financial analysis to business partners in a concise and useful manner.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Sound and logical decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work well with others in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with GAAP, with specific knowledge of GAAP related to supported LOBs. High proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other basic software products. Financial Modeling experience.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Supervisory experience of multiple teams
• Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Chartered Financial Analyst
• Master's degree of MBA
• Specific financial services or specialized industry experience including corporate development.
• Proficient in Essbase/Hyperion, EPM/BPC, or other enterprise accounting software.
