General Purpose

The CIP Operator is responsible for the cleaning, sanitizing, testing, and operation of processing equipment and tanker receiving systems to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal regulations.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Available to work 3rd Shift 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM TUE - FRI, 6:00PM - 2:30AM SAT, OFF SUN & MON

  • Perform Clean-in-Place (CIP) operations on tankers, HTST processors, separators, and related processing equipment according to established sanitation procedures.
  • Receive incoming milk and ingredient tankers while following all company, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Safely climb tankers, collect samples, connect and disconnect hoses, and perform tanker unloading operations.
  • Conduct required quality and regulatory testing on incoming tankers and accurately record results.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Ensure all processing and receiving equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and maintained according to company standards.
  • Complete sanitation tasks and maintain a clean and organized work area during CIP and production activities.
  • Blend and standardize dairy and non-dairy products as required, including products such as milk, coconut, soy, almond, and other beverage formulations.
  • Follow all chemical handling procedures and safety protocols when using cleaning and sanitation chemicals.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and stand-up lifts safely and efficiently.
  • Accurately complete all required production, sanitation, regulatory, and quality documentation in a timely manner.
  • Report equipment, safety, quality, or sanitation concerns to supervision immediately.
  • Support production operations and perform additional duties as assigned by the Foreman or Supervisor.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Production or general work experience preferred
  • Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Able to follow directions and carry out instructions
  • Able to effectively work in a team environment
  • Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to climb ladders and access the top of tankers safely.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials and equipment as required
  • Ability to work in wet, cold, hot, and varying production environments.
