We are seeking an experienced Commercial Auto & General Liability Claims Unit Manager to lead a team of claims professionals handling complex commercial casualty claims. This leadership role is responsible for coaching and developing adjusters, providing technical guidance, and driving operational excellence while ensuring superior claim outcomes.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Commercial Auto & General Liability adjusters.
Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and file audits to ensure quality and productivity.
Provide technical guidance on coverage, liability investigations, litigation management, reserving, and claim resolution.
Collaborate with underwriting, agents, policyholders, and internal business partners on complex claims and portfolio strategy.
Monitor claim trends, identify process improvements, and implement operational best practices.
Ensure claims are handled in compliance with company guidelines and delegated authority.
Qualifications
5+ years of Commercial Auto and General Liability claims experience.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing claims professionals.
Strong technical knowledge of commercial casualty claims, litigation, reserving, and coverage analysis.
Active adjuster license (or ability to obtain required licensing).
Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
