Commissioning Engineer (Houston or Austin, TX)

Job Summary

This position joins our Commissioning (Cx) Services department to deliver a collaborative team approach to the Cx process, bridging the gap between the Architect/Engineer and Contractor and emphasizing the importance of the Owner’s specific operational needs. This position will provide a comprehensive Cx process and dedication to ensuring the equipment and systems function per the design intent and results in facilities operate as anticipated.

5+ years experience w/ CxA certification.

Can be located in either Houston or Austin, TX. Flexible with remote work.

Responsibilities

• Develop Commissioning plans and specifications
• Develop functional testing sequences for HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical equipment
• Review design and submittal documents from MEP design and provide feedback to the

Owner based upon their Owner’s Project Requirements and general constructability

• Perform site visits and develop field reports
• Perform LEED Energy Modeling (not required, but a plus)
• Support MEP Design Team during construction activity as needed

Education/Experience:

• Experience in new building and MEP Systems Renovation Cx; Retro Cx for Existing Buildings; Monitor Based and Ongoing Cx; Energy Audits and Energy Conservations Guidance; 3rd Party Design Reviews; Facility Assessment and Capital Improvement Programs
• LEED Certification.
• Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) certification.
• Currently have or intent to pursue professional accreditations in the Building Commissioning field (BCxP)
• AutoCAD experience required.
• REVIT experience required.
