As a Component Engineer you’ll work on a broad range of projects, in both a laboratory and manufacturing environment, that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. Working side by side with designers, test and manufacturing, you’ll use your education, experience and growing expertise to develop and evaluate new and technology to survive in the most hostile of environments.

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
- Background, education, or experience related to electrical, electronic, electromechanical, or closely related technical fields
- Experience developing, interpreting, or applying technical requirements such as specifications, program plans, or engineering documentation
- Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, models, or specifications and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, stress, manufacturing, or quality)
- Familiarity with non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and/or failure disposition activities
- Willingness/ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required

As a Component Engineer you’ll work on a broad range of projects, in both a laboratory and manufacturing environment, that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. Working side by side with designers, test and manufacturing, you’ll use your education, experience and growing expertise to develop and evaluate new and technology to survive in the most hostile of environments.
In This Role You Will
- Participate in Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware manufacturing and testing. Assignments will include technical evaluation and support of manufacturing issues/concerns.
- Have a hand in the development of the program EEE Parts management plan, the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of EEE Parts.
- Prepare technical and progress reports, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers, and analyze test reports.
- Coordinate with other teams such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement.

- Familiarity with electronic components and systems, which may include passive components, semiconductors, or related technologies (e.g., integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, capacitors, or similar)
- Experience with EEE parts testing, failure analysis, and non-conformance resolution
- Familiar with radiation effects on EEE parts
- Knowledge of avoiding and mitigating counterfeit part usage
- Knowledge of design, manufacturing, materials, and processes for EEE parts
- Experience in participating in major program reviews such as PDR and CDR
- Influencing policies at their company and at industry standards committee meeting
- Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements, such as Mil-STD-883 – Microcircuits, Mil-STD-750 for Transistors, Mil-PRF-123 for Ceramic Capacitors, Mil-PRF-19500 for Diodes, Mil-PRF-38534 for Hybrids, Mil-PRF-55342 for Resistors, Mil-PRF-55365 for solid Tantalum Capacitors
- Understanding of worst-case analysis (WCA) / EEE parts derating and end of life requirements
- Good understanding of EEE parts performance requirements and specifications
- Experience working collaboratively with customers and teammates
- Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Active or Current Top Secret clearance
