Our Component Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting and rebuilding hydraulic parts and components such as hammers and cylinders for heavy equipment applications.
Pay: $22.81 to $52.05/hr
What You Will Do In This Role
Perform all levels of repair as well as full reconditioning on component
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustments
Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments
Some troubleshooting on equipment may occasionally be required
Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers on their repairs
Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.
Our Ideal Candidate
Basic mechanical knowledge including mechanical, electrical and hydraulics
General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments
Understand crane hoist and rigging equipment (preferred)
Preferred forklift experience
Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience working within the diesel mechanics industry (specifically with hydraulics)
Welding experience (Mig and Stick)
Stable work history
Caterpillar experience a plus

This role involves hands-on mechanical work in a shop environment. The employee must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. These functions may include:
Safely and repeatedly lifting components weighing up to 115 pounds without assistance
Safely lifting, carrying, and lowering components weighing up to 65 pounds without assistance
Frequent pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy materials
Climbing on and off equipment and working at varying heights
Standing, bending, and working in physically demanding positions for extended periods
Safely operating tools and equipment
