Our students write articles, host podcasts and sponsor events. We even wrote a book!

We also keep things civil at all times. Republicans, Democrats, Independents -- all are welcome at OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION (ONC).

In our conversations, we always strive to answer the question, "What do we want to DO about this?" We find, by focusing on solutions, we can quickly rise above the "blame game" which has become so stale in our country.

We seek to make ONC a household name one day -- a trusted source of fair, accurate and balanced information about politics and public policy. Young people are inheriting a troubled world.

At ONC, we are developing America's future leaders, equipping them with skills they will need as they take it from here. Over 900 interns from across the U.S. have participated so far. Experienced mentors gently guide our students.

OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION (ONC) seeks to reduce partisanship and promote effective solutions to America’s challenges. Powered by America’s youth, we host a media outlet, produce educational materials and facilitate dialogue intended to make America a better country. ONC runs multiple teams virtually (e.g. IT, Media & Marketing, Editorial, HR, Fundraising). Lots of projects in the works!

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing strategy Set annual and campaign-level goals (audience growth, engagement, subscriptions, donations, event attendance).
  • Partnership strategy Identify target partner types (schools, nonprofits, local businesses, media or orgs), set outreach priorities, and develop partnership value propositions and MOUs.
  • Partnership outreach Prospect, pitch, and manage relationships with partner orgs for co-published content, events, cross-promotion, internships, or sponsorships.
  • Sponsor/small-donor materials Create sponsorship decks, campaign one-pagers, and reporting templates for partners/supporters.

This volunteer role is remote, with work primarily conducted over Zoom and Slack, so applicants must be comfortable coordinating in a remote environment and are expected to maintain a high level of communication. We ask that volunteers are able to help out for 5-10 hours per week, with a minimum 6 month commitment.
