Engineering Manager, Product Engineering

Confidential search for a well-funded AI infrastructure startup experiencing rapid growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, Staff Engineer ready for management, or Principal Engineer with leadership experience.

You’ll partner directly with the CTO, lead a backend-heavy Product Engineering team, and help scale the team during a major growth phase.

Must have:

• 6+ years product-focused engineering experience

• High-growth startup or scale-up experience

• Strong backend engineering foundation

• Experience leading technical teams

• Track record shipping 0→1 products and scaling them

• TypeScript and/or Python preferred

Nice to have:

• AI, ML, data infrastructure, developer tools, or audio/speech experience

• Big Tech + startup background

• Former founder or early startup employee

Deal breakers:

• Pure Big Tech background with no startup experience

• No recent hands-on technical depth

• Preference for highly structured corporate environments
