CORE is looking for a results-oriented Estimator to join our CORE Texas team in our Frisco office. This fast-paced department aims to provide professional preconstruction and virtual construction services for Commercial, K12, Higher Education, Healthcare and Municipal projects ranging from $100K-$300M in construction costs.
The Estimator will provide comprehensive preconstruction services, including estimating, scheduling, value engineering, risk management, bid solicitation and subcontractor outreach/procurement on multiple largescale commercial construction projects. This will involve collaboration with owners, architects, preconstruction team members and the Operations team. This individual will assist with the development and organization of document control, tracking and distribution of construction documents and assist with meeting minutes for clients and trade partners.
The individual will work on quantity takeoffs, identify unique features of work, help develop the general conditions of a project, and research historical cost data, among other tasks related to the planning of major commercial construction projects. The individual will also assist in creating options studies, value engineering, bid solicitation, project scheduling and help delineate and assign scopes of work.

Position Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience as part of a preconstruction or construction operations team
- Relevant work experience/internship working for a commercial construction, engineering or architecture company
- Professional Degree in construction management, architecture or a related field (mechanical or civil engineering, construction tech, interior design, business administration) is preferred
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to work onsite 5 days per week
- Ability to review and understand drawings and specifications as well as constructability
- Basic understanding of construction project sequencing and scheduling
- Technology: Familiarity with relevant construction industry technology and applications, including Microsoft Office, ConstructConnect, Assemble, Revit, Navisworks, Microsoft Project
- Preferred experience in a small projects division / Job Order Contracting
- Familiarity with Sketchup, Bluebeam, Procore and/or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Understanding of the CMAR, CSP and/or Design/Build delivery methods
- Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service
- Expectations: Attention to detail, excellent communication (written and verbal), strong organizational skills ability to interact as part of a team
- A valid Driver’s License
