Triumph Integrated Systems - Electronics and Controls, located in Forest, Ohio, is a leading independent aerospace supplier of mission critical thermal and fluid management products for commercial and military platforms. The company provides solutions utilized on aircraft, engine, advance weapons pods, cruise missiles, avionics & electronic systems.
Scope of Job
Plan and perform a wide variety of inspection duties to meet company daily requirements; whether machine initial set up of production parts or gauges, must be able to be inspected to engineer specification, blueprint and process and specifications and become proficient on CMM and optical comparitor. Must pass layout test outlined in the current collective bargaining agreement.
Responsibilities
Must be able to operate optical comparitor.
Must be able to operate coordinate measuring machine.
Must be able to perform inspection using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, process and engineering specification.
Must be able to use the following equipment; cmm, supermics, optical comparator height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment provided by company.
Must be able to pass an inspection qualification test to work in this classification.
Inspector must be able to work closely with engineering to solve issues when they arise.
Attention to detail, eye/hand coordination, pass vision testing.
May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes (not over OSHA permissible exposure levels)
Ability to train other employees, as needed.
Must comply with FAA requirements for “safety sensitive” position.
Maintains cleanliness of work place and equipment, free of FOD.
Qualifications
Ability to read and write, interpret measurements and readings, exercise sound independent judgment.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and work process instructions.
Ability to move parts and equipment in a safe and practical manner.
Ability to relate to and interact appropriately with others in a team environment and a willingness to assist, educate and train others.
Ability to use hand tools and inspect gauges.
Consistently comply with all applicable safety and health rules and regulations including compliance with a respiratory protection program and hearing conservation, if applicable.
Must comply with FAA requirements for “safety sensitive” position.
Must have a high school diploma or a GED.
