Responsibilities

• Advising clients on complex insurance coverage matters involving third-party liability claims
• Drafting coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and coverage position analyses
• Litigating insurance coverage disputes and bad faith matters through all stages of litigation
• Conducting factual investigations and managing all aspects of discovery
• Preparing pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal filings
• Taking and defending depositions, attending hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Managing matters independently while providing strategic legal advice and exceptional client service
• Contributing to business development initiatives and the continued growth of the practice

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of Insurance Coverage experience with a strong focus on third-party liability insurance coverage matters
• Experience drafting coverage opinions and litigating insurance coverage and bad faith disputes
• Experience defending construction and premises liability matters preferred
• Strong litigation experience, including investigations, discovery, pleadings, depositions, motion practice, hearings, and mediations
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple complex matters simultaneously
• Strong legal analysis, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• Proactive, dynamic, entrepreneurial, and commercially minded approach to practice

Certifications

Candidates must be admitted and in good standing and able to practice in the state in which they reside.

Billable Hours Requirement

1,950 billable hours annually.
