Intellectual Property Attorney

Job Title – Commercial/IP Litigation Partner (California State Court)

Salary/Package – $300,000 - $500,000+ Basic Salary + Bonus/Benefits (DOE & Portable Practice)

Location – Remote working from anywhere in California

The firm has experienced significant growth in recent years and is continuing to invest heavily in its litigation practice, offering sophisticated work, a collaborative culture and a genuinely flexible remote working environment.

Due to increasing demand, the firm is looking to appoint an experienced California litigator to play a key role in the continued growth and leadership of its Commercial/IP Litigation practice, with a particular focus on California State Court matters.

Responsibilities

• Leading complex commercial and/or intellectual property litigation matters through all stages of the litigation process
• Acting as lead counsel on high-value California State Court disputes
• Developing litigation strategies designed to achieve the best commercial outcomes for clients
• Advising clients across a broad range of commercial disputes including contract, business tort, unfair competition and intellectual property matters
• Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted strategic adviser
• Mentoring and developing associates and junior attorneys
• Helping to grow and develop the California litigation practice
• Collaborating with partners across multiple practice areas on cross-disciplinary matters
• Contributing to business development initiatives and expanding existing client relationships

Candidate Requirements

• California Bar admission
• 10+ years' commercial litigation and/or intellectual property litigation experience
• Significant experience handling complex California State Court litigation
• Strong first-chair litigation experience including pleadings, discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, mediation and trial preparation
• Experience managing client relationships and leading litigation teams
• Existing portable practice advantageous, although candidates with exceptional California State Court expertise and a demonstrable track record of developing business are also encouraged to apply
• Excellent academic credentials and communication skills
