As part of our continued expansion in China, Clocktower Group has established its onshore subsidiary in Shanghai—Drobny (Shanghai) Investment Management Company. Through this entity, the firm serves as a key bridge connecting global clients with the Chinese hedge fund market.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Shanghai team as an Investment Analyst. In this role, you will work closely with the investment team on portfolio construction and risk management, collaborating with fund managers and internal stakeholders to monitor, analyze, and manage hedge fund investments, while continuously enhancing data analytics and portfolio management systems.

Job Description:

• Conduct ongoing post-investment monitoring of China and broader Asia-focused hedge fund strategies.
• Analyze hedge fund managers’ trading activity, portfolio positions, and risk exposures; calculate and track key risk metrics at the portfolio level.
• Support the preparation of portfolio management reports for institutional investors.
• Maintain and continuously enhance the firm’s internal portfolio and risk management systems.
• Contribute to industry- and sector-specific research projects for investors.
• Participate in investment and research meetings with institutional clients and fund managers.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Financial Engineering, or a related field; 1–5 years of relevant experience preferred, and outstanding recent graduates will also be considered.
• Strong quantitative research and data analysis skills, with a high level of attention to detail and a proactive, self-driven mindset.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python, with solid programming capabilities.
• Sound understanding of financial markets and risk management concepts is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong interpersonal and multitasking abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to independently execute projects—academic or professional—and generate meaningful insights.
• Strong team orientation, with a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
