A leading international infrastructure and energy platform is seeking a mid-level Legal Counsel/Assistant General Counsel (3–8 years’ experience) to join its growing U.S. legal team.
This role offers the opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of major infrastructure and energy projects - from early-stage development through construction and into financing and operation.
You will work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in supporting the delivery of complex, high-value projects across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on project development, construction, and project finance matters across infrastructure and energy projects
Draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements, including EPC, construction, O&M, supply, and financing documents
Support projects from origination and development through to financial close and execution
Provide guidance on risk allocation, contract structuring, and project strategy
Work closely with internal teams across development, engineering, finance, and operations
Support M&A, joint ventures, and asset acquisitions/divestitures within the infrastructure space
Manage external counsel and advise on regulatory and compliance matters
Candidate Profile
3–8 years of legal experience in infrastructure, energy, or construction law
Strong experience across a combination of project development, construction (EPC), and project finance
Background from a top law firm and/or in-house within a developer, sponsor, or contractor
Familiarity with energy and infrastructure projects (renewables experience is a plus)
Commercially minded with the ability to partner closely with technical and business teams
Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
