Legal Counsel

A leading international infrastructure and energy platform is seeking a mid-level Legal Counsel/Assistant General Counsel (3–8 years’ experience) to join its growing U.S. legal team.

This role offers the opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of major infrastructure and energy projects - from early-stage development through construction and into financing and operation.

You will work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in supporting the delivery of complex, high-value projects across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on project development, construction, and project finance matters across infrastructure and energy projects
• Draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements, including EPC, construction, O&M, supply, and financing documents
• Support projects from origination and development through to financial close and execution
• Provide guidance on risk allocation, contract structuring, and project strategy
• Work closely with internal teams across development, engineering, finance, and operations
• Support M&A, joint ventures, and asset acquisitions/divestitures within the infrastructure space
• Manage external counsel and advise on regulatory and compliance matters

Candidate Profile

• 3–8 years of legal experience in infrastructure, energy, or construction law
• Strong experience across a combination of project development, construction (EPC), and project finance
• Background from a top law firm and/or in-house within a developer, sponsor, or contractor
• Familiarity with energy and infrastructure projects (renewables experience is a plus)
• Commercially minded with the ability to partner closely with technical and business teams
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
