**SUMMARY: **
Under general supervision, perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in all phases of school grounds maintenance including: facility repair and maintenance; snow/ice removal; turf, tree, shrub, and plant care; repair of irrigation systems; and playground and athletic facility repair and maintenance.
**JOB TASKS: **
Perform necessary repairs to outdoor facilities, playgrounds, etc.
Repair and renovate irrigation systems (seasonal).
Operate medium to heavy duty motor vehicles and equipment.
Repair electrical problems in controllers, pumps, and electrical valves (seasonal).
Provide assistance to seasonal/hourly personnel in the field.
Utilize District computer system.
Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
Prepare and maintain athletic fields and tennis, basketball, and all hard surface courts for recreational use (seasonal).
Operate specialized turf maintenance equipment.
Renovate athletic fields and maintain backstops, fences, and metal bleachers.
Perform snow removal and ice mitigation as needed (seasonal) to ensure safe egress to and from buildings.
Respond as essential personnel in case of an emergency, weather or environmental event, and/or school/facility/district closure.
Perform other duties as assigned.
**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES REQUIRED: **
High school diploma or GED
Two to three years of related experience in grounds maintenance or closely related field
Vocational school or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Criminal background check required for hire
Valid Colorado Driver's License
Must meet District driver insurability requirements
Valid Colorado Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain CDL within six months of hire date
