About The Role

AssetWorks is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining a test-driven, quality-first culture across the M5 platform. Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, this remote position within North America offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of testing automation, integrating cutting-edge AI-driven tools to revolutionize QA workflows. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to develop, implement, and refine automated testing frameworks, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your expertise in leveraging AI for test generation, execution, and optimization will be critical in accelerating testing cycles, reducing manual effort, and increasing test coverage. This leadership role requires a proactive approach, mentorship, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, fostering continuous innovation in testing practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of software testing experience
  • Proficiency in API testing with SOAP, REST, GraphQL, etc.
  • Experience with source control tools such as Git and Github
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases including SQL and Oracle
  • Expertise with automation tools like Selenium, Postman, Playwright, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Claude Code, Github CoPilot, or Kiro for test automation
  • Proven ability to build and maintain testing frameworks
  • Deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Ability to write effective test cases and test scripts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for regression, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Leverage AI-driven agents to generate, execute, and optimize test cases, analyze results, and enhance defect detection
  • Support manual regression and functional testing of enterprise product features, including web applications and integrations
  • Develop and implement AI-assisted testing strategies to increase coverage, speed up testing cycles, and minimize manual effort
  • Perform installation, upgrade, and validation testing across supported environments
  • Collaborate with engineering teams during planning, story grooming, and design discussions to ensure testability and quality are incorporated from the beginning
  • Review and interpret product and business requirements to define comprehensive test scenarios and acceptance criteria
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve test plans, test cases, and automation assets
  • Execute tests, document results, and communicate test status and potential risks to stakeholders clearly and effectively
  • Generate detailed defect reports, track issues in defect management systems, and partner with development teams for resolution
  • Continuously evaluate and improve test coverage, automation effectiveness, and quality metrics
  • Promote best practices in QA, test automation, and AI-driven testing within the team
  • Lead and influence the evolution of testing and automation strategies, emphasizing scalability, efficiency, and innovation
