Safety Supervisor
Project Duration: October 1, 2026 – August 31, 2028
Position Summary
The Safety Supervisor supports the Safety Manager by monitoring daily field operations and ensuring all work associated with the baggage handling system installation is performed safely and in compliance with applicable regulations and project requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform daily field safety inspections.
Monitor compliance with safety policies and work practices.
Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs).
Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Ensure employees use proper PPE and safe work methods.
Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
Monitor subcontractor compliance with project safety standards.
Document inspections and maintain project safety records.
Coordinate with field supervision to resolve safety concerns promptly.
Promote a positive safety culture across all work activities.
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
5+ years of construction safety experience.
OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500 preferred.
Experience on transportation, airport, or industrial projects preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
General Working Conditions
Work is performed in active airport construction environments and operational facilities.
May require working nights, weekends, holidays, or extended hours to support airport operational requirements.
Must comply with all airport security requirements and successfully obtain and maintain required security clearances and badging.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and around active construction operations.
Travel within the project site is required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk extensive construction sites daily.
Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access elevated work areas.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in active construction environments for extended periods.
