Principal Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Creative Services team across design, content, production, project management, and agency strategy functions.
- Partner with marketing stakeholders to develop creative approaches, campaign concepts, digital experiences, and go-to-market strategies that support business objectives and customer engagement.
- Serve as a strategic advisor by recommending the most effective mix of content, creative, media, and marketing tactics to achieve campaign goals.
- Act as the executive sponsor for agency and vendor relationships, ensuring external partners understand Avnet's business priorities, customer audiences, supplier objectives, and desired outcomes.
- Oversee the development of marketing assets and experiences across digital, print, video, events, social media, sales enablement, and emerging channels.
- Champion innovative content formats, creative approaches, audience engagement strategies, and marketing practices that help Avnet stand out in a competitive marketplace.
- Serve as the voice of the business to agencies and external partners, while helping stakeholders translate business goals into effective marketing programs and execution strategies.
- Provide fiscal oversight for creative, agency, media, and production investments, ensuring budgets, contracts, and statements of work are effectively managed and aligned to business objectives, campaign priorities, and expected outcomes.
- Explore, pilot, and implement AI-powered tools and emerging technologies that scale content creation, improve efficiency, personalize customer experiences, and enhance marketing effectiveness.
- Establish scalable processes, resource models, and service standards that enable the team to efficiently support growing business demands while maintaining quality and responsiveness.
- Manage agency, creative, and production budgets while ensuring investments deliver measurable value, strong execution, and positive business outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Manages direct managers and/or highly skilled specialists who exercise significant latitude and independence. Often oversees one or more departments or related teams.
- Establishes operating policies and procedures that affect departments and direct teams. Interprets enterprise-wide policies and procedures. Develops budgets, schedules and performance standards for one or more departments. Responsible for resources and policy formation in area of responsibility.
- Assignments are defined in the form of long-term objectives. Decisions are guided by resource availability, functional objectives and independent judgment.
- Collaborates frequently with internal and/or external management. Leads meetings and briefings for internal and/or external representatives. Often coordinates efforts between functional areas and/or members of an extended assignment/project team.
- Typically 8+ years including 3+ years of management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
- Prefer 8+ years of progressive marketing, creative services, agency management, or related experience, including experience leading teams and external partners.
