Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its product development team. This role will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of propulsion and mechanical systems for vehicles and related products. The successful candidate will contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development and prototyping through testing, validation, and production support.

Competitive base salary (aligned with experience, ideal salary range of $90 - $120,000 with an annual incentive plan plus profit sharing.

Roles & Responsibilities
Define engineering specifications and design requirements for new and existing mechanical systems and components.
Design, develop, and analyze mechanical assemblies, components, and detailed drawings while applying appropriate dimensional tolerancing and GD&T principles.
Conduct tolerance stack-up analyses to ensure manufacturability and performance requirements are met.
Develop and maintain accurate 3D models, engineering drawings, and design documentation using CAD software.
Perform engineering analyses utilizing simulation and modeling tools, including structural, thermal, fluid flow, and dynamic system evaluations.
Ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables, including drawings, calculations, bills of materials, and cost analyses in support of project timelines.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee prototype development activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to source and fabricate prototype components.
Support prototype assembly activities and evaluate designs for functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
Develop and execute test and validation plans to verify product performance and compliance with engineering requirements.
Assist with the creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs/ECNs).
Support manufacturing, quality, service, and documentation teams throughout product development and launch activities.
Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize product designs.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
2+ years of product design and development experience within a manufacturing environment.
Experience with mechanical systems, powertrain systems, or similar electromechanical products.
Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling and engineering design software.
Experience with engineering analysis tools and simulation software is preferred.
Familiarity with enterprise systems, product lifecycle management, and engineering change processes is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
