About the Role
As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and quality of a complex connected medical device platform. You'll work closely with software, hardware, systems, and product teams to develop comprehensive testing strategies and validation approaches across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain integration tests for cloud, desktop, and mobile applications.
Build automated test suites to validate end-to-end workflows and system behavior.
Drive software verification and validation activities across the product lifecycle.
Lead testing efforts for software releases, including test planning, execution, defect triage, and release readiness assessments.
Define acceptance criteria and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams.
Develop test plans, protocols, reports, and verification evidence.
Support testing efforts for complex hardware/software integrated systems.
Ensure testing activities align with applicable medical device software standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Required
Strong experience developing automated test frameworks and integration tests using Python.
Experience testing distributed systems across cloud, desktop, and mobile environments.
Experience with software verification and validation activities in regulated environments.
Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, automation tools, and testing best practices.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred
Medical device or regulated software experience.
Familiarity with IEC 62304 and software lifecycle processes.
Experience testing connected devices, embedded systems, or hardware/software integrated products.
Experience with accessibility, usability, or human-centered product testing.
Startup experience or comfort working in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments.
