Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations and help ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This role is ideal for an accountant who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and is looking to grow into increased responsibility within the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end close schedules
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Perform balance sheet and income statement analyses; investigate and resolve variances
• Support AP/AR, including invoice processing, payment application, and vendor/customer reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
• Support process improvements, documentation, and system enhancements as the company scales

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry experience welcome)
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks) and strong Excel skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
