Supporting and collaborating with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and SSHO to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the construction site. This role ensures that all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations, project plans, and project specifications.
Responsibilities
Manage, oversee, and coordinate all day-to-day operations on the construction site, including interactions with Talion employees, subcontractors, consultants, and project owners during construction, inspections, and testing.
Coordinate daily with subcontractors, owner representatives, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and progress.
Implement cost-effective and efficient management techniques to drive project success.
Read and interpret plans and specifications; ensure accurate execution of work as outlined in project documents.
Manage the implementation of the project's Quality Control Plan; track, report, and correct deficiencies as needed.
Conduct daily inspections of work performed, documenting progress and ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
Verify that all materials received and installed meet project specifications and requirements.
Schedule and coordinate third-party and project owner inspections in a timely manner.
Ensure job site safety for all personnel; support the SSHO (Site Safety and Health Officer) as needed and attend all safety meetings.
Participate in internal team meetings and client meetings as required.
Develop and manage project schedules, including look-ahead schedules; coordinate with internal staff, subcontractors, project owners, inspectors, and vendors.
Schedule work proactively to maintain project timelines.
Perform quantity take-offs and assist the Project Manager in preparing change orders.
Assist with material and subcontractor procurement; prepare purchase order requests as needed.
Track and monitor RFI and submittal statuses; collaborate with the project team on creation of RFIs and submittals, providing field data such as photos and measurements as required.
Maintain thorough project documentation, including daily reports, sign-in sheets, and CQ (Construction Quality) reports.
Assist with general labor on-site as needed to support project progress.
Must be available to travel when required.
Labor & Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to mandatory meal and rest break requirements while overseeing accurate and timely completion of field employee timecards.
Skills
Good knowledge of Army Corps of Engineers Quality Control Program
Ability to exercise independent judgment.
Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, managerial, and strong communicative (written and oral) skills.
Excellent supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, Outlook)
