Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $216,000.00/yr
For our client, we are seeking a Systems Architect to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a Business Services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $130,000 – $216,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture development for Grants.gov and related services
  • Design high-availability and secure infrastructure solutions for continuous operations
  • Define modernization strategies and technical recommendations for system performance
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment across various platforms and applications
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and operational improvements
  • Oversee system integrations and application workflows for data exchanges
  • Provide technical governance and ensure compliance with federal architecture standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree
  • 8-10+ years of experience in enterprise-scale application architecture design and support
  • Experience in architecting cloud solutions, ideally within AWS environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise application integration, APIs, and service-oriented architectures
  • Proven ability to design secure, scalable systems for public-facing applications
  • Knowledge of application lifecycle management and DevSecOps best practices
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, disaster recovery, and performance management
