Controls or operates machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.
Responsibilities
Safe and efficient operation of plant equipment in area of training.
Compliance with all Evonik, state and federal regulations at all times.
Develop understanding of plant procedures, processes, and equipment in area of training.
Develop ability to identify issues with process equipment and process parameters in area of training.
Maintain accurate training documentation with instructor as new processes and procedures are learned.
Resolve issues with processes and equipment with support from more senior operation technicians.
Support maintenance department as needed to repair equipment and ensure reliable operation of plant assets.
Communicate Process and controls issues with area engineers and assist with data acquisition.
Assist technicians that are more senior and develop hands on knowledge of operating procedures and equipment.
Support basic safety process including maintaining compliance with any required training.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Good time management skills
Mechanical aptitude
Safety oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, from day and night
