About The Role
Shinola is seeking a Watch Assembly Operator to join our watch manufacturing team. In this highly specialized role, you will assemble precision watch components and movements in a clean-room production environment, helping bring Shinola’s handcrafted timepieces to life.
This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in precision manufacturing environments, enjoy working with small components, and take pride in producing high-quality products with meticulous attention to detail.
What You’ll Do
Watch Assembly
Assemble Shinola watch heads across multiple models, including mechanical and quartz movements, following detailed production procedures.
Handle and assemble small, delicate components with a high degree of accuracy and care.
Use specialized tools and instruments to complete assembly steps according to standard operating procedures.
Quality & Precision
Maintain a high standard of quality and craftsmanship in all assembly work.
Make quick and accurate troubleshooting decisions when components or assemblies require adjustment.
Perform tasks requiring strong hand-eye coordination and precision.
Production & Process Adherence
Follow structured production sequences and documented assembly procedures.
Maintain focus on repetitive tasks over extended periods while ensuring consistent quality.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment on the manufacturing floor.
Comply with clean-room requirements including proper attire and workspace standards.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
Ability to follow technical instructions and standardized procedures
Ability to work with small tools and delicate components
Ability to sit for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks
20/20 vision (corrected vision acceptable) and ability to see fine details at close range
Successful completion of background check
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, or precision manufacturing
Experience working in clean-room or light manufacturing environments
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a clean-room watch manufacturing environment designed to protect product quality and precision.
Operators wear company-provided smocks, caps, and antistatic footwear while in the assembly area.
The role requires extended sitting and repetitive hand movements while assembling small components.
Ability to occasionally lift or move materials up to 50 lbs.
