Did you know that the VINNY Project’s solutions are designed for proactive vineyard protection? The Project is developing advanced bio-based agents using nano-encapsulation technology. These nanoformulations include passive and stimuli-responsive designs, which can release biopesticides and biofertilizers when a specific pathogen or mechanical triggers are detected. This controlled-release capability is intended to optimize the effectiveness of the bioactive compounds and reduce unnecessary application of extra active agents. By combining these nanoformulations with agrotextiles designed to modulate release in the vineyard soil, the Project is testing strategies to improve the stability and persistence of biofertilizers in soil. The result is an innovative, targeted approach to vineyard management that aims to enhance efficiency, eliminate chemical inputs and support more sustainable viticulture practices. The future of viticulture is focused on more precise and evidence-based management of vine health. Learn more at: www.lkme.pt/Dsq7n #viticulture #sustainable #VINNY #project

Coming to you live from the sunny but windy field day at the Turfgrass Producers International - TPI conference in #tucsonarizona with our new partner in biological solutions, FieldLogic Agronomy! Today, we met with the team at Magnum ENP | Bucyrus Equipment and learned about their new BioHarvestNet, a biodegradable netting product that reduces plastic, labour and costs when laying grasses. They were keen to learn about how a light application of our liquid kelp extract, #FieldKelp, could help boost root development when the grass is installed in its permanent home! This is growth through innovation (right, Jacob Kibbons?)! Really great to be part of this event, meet wonderful new people, enjoy delicious food and rally around the variety of weather!

Have you heard of the "Cucumber Paradox"? 🥒💡 Cucumbers are among the most demanding greenhouse crops. To achieve maximum yields, you need high temperatures and dense planting. But these exact conditions create a massive flood of water vapor. Historically, growers had to "heat and vent" to manage this - literally throwing expensive heating energy out the window. To solve this paradox and optimize energy use, we are thrilled to announce a 3-year strategic partnership with CTIFL (Centre Technique Interprofessionnel des Fruits et Légumes) in France! 🇫🇷 We’ve installed our DryGair DG-3 unit at their experimental station to run comprehensive trials on active dehumidification. Even better? We are turning this station into a "living showroom" for the European horticulture industry. Read our full interview with DryGair’s Justin van der Putten and CTIFL’s Landry Rossdeutsch in HortiDaily to learn how we are working to reduce the carbon footprint of cucumber cultivation by 30%: >>> link in 1st comment 👇 Want to see the trial in person? DM us to schedule a visit to the facility! #DryGair #CTIFL #Horticulture #GreenhouseTech #CucumberParadox #EnergyEfficiency # #AgTech

BIG NEWS! ✨ Our patent for the Purehatch Nursery™ has now officially been approved! 📜 💢 The Purehatch Nursery™ was developed to address one of the most critical bottlenecks in seaweed production 🌱: the earliest and most vulnerable growth stages, where reliability, uniformity and labour efficiency are decisive. The patented design is built around a simple but powerful engineering principle ⚙️. By using fluid dynamics rather than mechanical drives, the system induces a natural rotation of the spools 🌊🔄. This ensures uniform light exposure along the entire twine 💡, leading to more homogeneous growth and significantly reduced handling. The result is a nursery system that improves biological consistency while lowering labour input, operational risk and production costs 📉. The return on investment is less than a year compared to sourcing spools from established producers still relying on manual handling⏱️💰. With the patent now approved, the Purehatch Nursery™ stands as a protected and validated solution for scaling seaweed production through better process control, smarter design and reduced operational complexity🌍. Thank you to Kerteminde Seafarm for the photo of a beautifully seeded batch of sugar kelp (Saccharina latissima). And yet again thank you to the #LTABoost project and #InnovationFundDenmark, who backed the idea and development financially. #SeaweedFarming #Aquaculture #AlgaeTechnology #Patent #Innovation #Biotech #BlueEconomy #SustainableProduction #ScaleUp #DeepTech #FoodTech #Seaweednursery #PureAlgae
