Nick Wanzenried’s Post

If our prep is any indication, next week's panel is going to be a fantastic conversation. Really looking forward to joining Alice Stein and the rest of the group to dive into the real-world nuances of Responsible AI in Commercial Real Estate. We've already had some incredibly thought-provoking discussions—if you're in NYC I hope that you can join us!

Excited to moderate the "Responsible AI in Commercial Real Estate" panel at the AI in Real Estate Summit NYC on June 4th as part of TECH WEEK by a16z and Nareit Week hosted by Proptech Council, Intapp, Lerner Associates, and Facilimax. AI adoption in commercial real estate is far from uniform. We're seeing everything from skepticism and hesitation to advanced AI/ML optimizing operations, and even agentic workflows shaping underwriting, acquisitions, and infrastructure strategy. A clear signal of where the market is heading: Blackstone’s AI-powered approach to identifying land and power grid opportunities for the next generation of digital assets through its Blackstone Digital Infrastructure Trust (BXDC). Data centers and AI infrastructure are rapidly becoming central to investment strategy. Yet progress remains fragmented. AI-native proptech startups are moving fast, while many traditional operators are still early in digitization. This gap creates both massive opportunity and real risk. And the liability is serious. U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development civil penalties for Fair Housing Act violations now reach up to $26,262 for a first offense, and agents cannot hide behind the AI system that generated the language. The tension between rapid adoption and accountability is exactly where the next wave of CRE litigation will emerge. That’s why our Responsible AI panel at the AI in Real Estate Summit is so critical. We’ve brought together operators, attorneys, and platform builders who are already deploying AI in production and shaping the governance frameworks the industry will follow. Joining the panel: • Larry BradleyElizabeth Braman, CCIMAndrew Zang, Esq.Kevin DonnellyNick WanzenriedAlice Stein (Moderator) Representing: SolasAI, Bespoke AIR A.I., Real Estate Technology & Transformation Center, Cotality, and Revolution RE. Whether your organization is pioneering AI-driven operations or just beginning to digitize workflows, responsible AI governance should already be on your radar. The firms that get this right today will set the standard for the next decade. Join us in NYC - June 4, 2026 Tickets: summit.proptechcouncil.com See you there! Amy Polvado, John Rogers, John H.
