INX International and Koenig & Bauer establish global UV ink partnership Koenig & Bauer has announced a strategic partnership with INX International Ink Co. as its globally preferred technology partner for UV, HR-UV and LED-UV inks. Rather than treating presses and consumables as separate entities, both companies are synchronising their core technological competencies. Their shared objective is a print environment that delivers maximum efficiency from the very first sheet. Intensive testing across all Rapida sheetfed offset presses confirms that ink systems such as INXCure LW and INXCure UVXcel noticeably cut makeready times and deliver exceptional colour consistency. This drastically reduces material waste during job changeovers and drives up the net production time of the equipment. “Our customers do not need isolated products; they need a seamless ecosystem stretching from the pressroom to the finished packaging,” explains Dirk Winkler, head of process and printing technology and product management at Koenig & Bauer Sheetfed. “INX’s leading role in energy-curable inks gives printers precisely the flexibility and innovative strength required to turn current industry challenges into a genuine competitive advantage.” A central pillar of the alliance is the mutual focus on ecological and health standards. The LED-UV solutions deployed significantly lower energy consumption during production, thereby improving the carbon footprint of print service providers. At the same time, both partners are pushing forward future standards in ‘Healthy Printing’ and Cradle-to-Cradle certifications, offering brand owners even safer and better access to sustainable packaging solutions. Beyond perfectly matched technologies, customers benefit from a joint, highly practical support concept. Koenig & Bauer and INX are already successfully pooling their expertise within Koenig & Bauer’s global demo and training centres. Here, converters and brand owners can test the performance and sustainability of the systems under real-world production conditions. Regular open-house events, joint appearances at trade fairs and targeted workshops ensure a continuous transfer of knowledge directly into customers’ operations. The Future of Packaging Isn’t Flexo or Digital—It’s Both. For years, many have predicted that digital printing would eventually replace flexographic printing. Looking at today’s packaging industry, however, the reality tells a different story. See our GIANT PRO flexographic converting technology in action below and discover how modern flexographic printing continues to evolve to meet today's packaging demands. Modern flexographic printing has evolved dramatically over the past decade. Today's latest-generation presses deliver: • Excellent print quality • Highly automated setup and register control • Reduced makeready times and waste • Outstanding productivity for medium and long production runs • Exceptional versatility across corrugated board, folding carton, paper and other packaging substrates. At the same time, digital printing has established itself as the ideal solution for short runs, personalization and variable data. Rather than competing, these technologies increasingly complement one another, allowing manufacturers to choose the most efficient production process for every application. At PAMA PAPER MACHINERY, we work alongside folding carton and corrugated packaging manufacturers across East-Central Europe, delivering reliable, innovative and future-ready converting solutions tailored to our customers' production requirements. Our portfolio includes: • GIANT ST • GIANT PRO • GIANT HD • HANWAY digital printing solutions offering our customers a comprehensive range of technologies for different production volumes, automation requirements and investment strategies. The growing demand for modern flexographic technology is reflected in the increasing number of installations we are delivering across the region. At the same time, we are seeing increasing interest in digital printing solutions for applications where shorter runs, versioning and customization create additional value. Whether the right answer is flexographic or digital printing, our goal is always the same: helping our customers select the technology that delivers the highest value for their business. Innovation does not always mean replacing an existing technology. Sometimes it means continuously improving a proven one. Modern flexographic printing is a perfect example of this evolution, while digital printing continues to expand the possibilities for packaging manufacturers. Together, these technologies are shaping the future of the packaging industry. If your company is considering investments in corrugated packaging production, folding carton converting, flexographic printing, digital printing or end-of-line automation, our team would be pleased to discuss your production goals and help identify the most suitable solution. #PAMAPaperMachinery #GIANTST #GIANTPRO #GIANTHD #HANWAY #Flexo #FlexographicPrinting #DigitalPrinting #Corrugated #CorrugatedPackaging #FoldingCarton #Packaging #PackagingIndustry #CartonConverting #Automation #Manufacturing
