A running D9 isn't the same as an accurate D9. Most dosing errors trace back to three install assumptions that feel right but quietly throw off your numbers, and they rarely show up until your nutrient delivery is already off. The first is treating pipe size as flow rate. Matching the pump connection to your line doesn't mean you've matched it to actual litres per minute, so the unit can sit there looking correct while dosing against the wrong figure. Run below the minimum range and dosing goes erratic, run above the maximum and you risk damaging the unit, which is why the working flow window matters as much as the connection size. Installing a D25 isn't complicated, but three overlooked steps cause most of the dosing problems operators call us about. Get the sequence right and accuracy follows from the first litre, get it wrong and you're chasing flow discrepancies that were never the pump's fault. The fix comes down to three things in order: confirm your flow range so the unit sits inside its working window, set the ratio on the pump body before anything else, then prime the suction line until concentrate reaches the outlet so there's no air left in the system.
