One of my posts gave me 275,000 impressions last week. 88 of the people who engaged were relevant to my ICP. That matters a lot more to me than vanity numbers. Because reach is fun. Relevant reach fills pipeline. This is the simple flow I use with MagicPost: 1. Create my ICP, mine is C-level 2. Pick the post I want to review 3. Run the analysis 4. Sort people by excellent, good, or medium fit 5. DM them or enroll them into my CRM That’s it. No digging through random likes for an hour. No guessing who actually fits. No messy spreadsheet dance after a post takes off. I like LinkedIn a lot more when I can tie content back to actual sales activity. A post should do more than collect applause. It should help me spot the right people, start good conversations, and keep my follow-up clean. That’s why this process works for me. It gives me a fast way to separate noise from people I’d actually want to talk to. If I’m spending time creating content, I want a path from engagement to pipeline. Between a simple setup and a clear signal, the follow-up gets better. That kind of workflow makes posting worth it 👊 P.S. Try it yourself here: get.magicpost.in/jan
The overlooked metric is conversation rate after engagement. Relevance matters, but follow-up determines whether reach becomes revenue.
Jan Benedikt Mundorf Why would you manually pick posts instead of just analysing EVERY post automatically (yours and posts covering similar topics). This would be the workflow 1. Identify leads Track people who - Viewed your profile - commented - liked a post 2. Qualify leads Use AI to qualify them and see if they are a fit for your ICP. If they are, get their email. 3. Reach out Then reach out with a personalised message (can be done with AI if you're thoughtful about it) Can be both on LinkedIn & email. Tools needed: 1. @teamfluence a/o jungler to identify leads 2. @clay to qualify and find data (or Claude Code) 3. @smartlead & @heyreach for the outreach
Impressions tell you distribution. ICP engagement tells you whether your content is attracting the market you can serve.
The best content metric isn't impressions, it's how many meaningful conversations it creates afterward.
Strong line — vanity vs. relevant reach. The nuance I'd add: engagement tells you fit, not timing. A C-level who liked the post fits your ICP — but that like is permission to start a relevant conversation, not a signal to pitch. The people who treat "engaged" as "ready to buy" burn exactly the signal this kind of workflow surfaces.
This is where content becomes pipeline. The post gets attention, but the workflow decides whether that attention turns into real conversations. Sorting engagers by fit removes a lot of wasted time.
Relevant reach is the bridge, and every filtered conversation lays another plank between engagement and pipeline instead of leaving applause stranded on the shore.
What I like here is the simplicity. Define ICP. Pick post. Run analysis. Sort. Follow up. That’s 5 steps vs the 15 step mess most teams have: export CSV, dedupe, enrich, guess titles, pray Jan
magicpost connects directly with a CRM?
📍 But keep in mind - creating content takes time, and I think more people need to act like decent humans about that. I write posts around my job. Some weeks it flows. Some weeks I stare at a blank doc and get nothing useful down I see weird pressure on this app: turn every thought into content, reply instantly, post daily, never miss a day. The people behind the posts are still people. Content takes effort. Ideas take effort. Writing takes effort. Posting while fried takes effort. Give people time. Give people grace. Be a gooddam human. That alone would improve this place 👊 Thanks for the post yesterday Anthony NatoliAnthony Natoli 👏
