Mechanical Engineering at TU/e’s Post

We’re proud to share that Philip De Goey has been awarded the 2026 Ya. B. Zeldovich Gold Medal Award of The Combustion Institute. 🥇 🏆 The award was announced this morning at the International Symposium on Combustion in Kyoto. Unfortunately, Philip is unable to attend the symposium, so 2 representatives will accept the medal on his behalf during a banquet on Thursday. The Ya. B. Zeldovich Gold Medal is one of the highest honors awarded by the worldwide Combustion Institute. It is presented biennially to a scientist who has made outstanding contributions to combustion science and technology. First awarded in 1990, this prestigious medal has been received by only 18 scientists worldwide to date. Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement, Philip! 🥂 👏
