Falah Aleem BSc (Hons)’s Post

A very proud day. 🎓 I'm incredibly proud to have officially graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Dental Therapy from University of Lancashire. To make the day even more special, I was honoured to receive the Best Dissertation Award. A special thank you to Dr Neil Cook. Your patience, knowledge, and encouragement made a real difference, and it was a privilege to receive this award from you. Considering the challenges of the past year, this recognition means more to me than I can put into words. Alongside the demands of a clinical degree, I spent much of my final year recovering from surgery and navigating the complications of living with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. There were times when simply getting through the week felt like an achievement, so to have my work recognised in this way is something I will always be incredibly proud of. A huge thank you to my loved ones and to my friend and mentor Ana Belen Fay, whose support helped me through some of the most challenging moments of the degree. Graduation may mark the end of my degree, but it's only the beginning of my career. Here's to whatever comes next! 🦷
