Leader rounding often turns into a checklist. It works better as a conversation. NRC Health's ambient listening with agentic AI helps teams move in that direction. It captures detail during the interaction, not after. Teams no longer rely on memory to document key moments. They capture what patients actually say, then act on it faster. If you're into healthcare innovation, I'd genuinely recommend this episode of the Innovation in Healthcare Podcast — an interview with Prof Derek O'Keeffe (Prof Derek O’Keeffe is a Physicianeer, who holds dual first-class honors degrees and doctorates in Engineering and Medicine) In this podcast, he emphasizes that adopting AI should be need based and if it genuinely improves patient care, not because it is trending. Well worth a listen if you're interested in where healthcare innovation is actually headed.

The next primary care visit might start off with, “I heard this on a podcast…” but is that necessarily a problem? Maybe not. Patients have never had greater access to physicians willing to share their knowledge, and that’s a remarkable shift. But healthcare’z designed for the individual sitting across from you, and not necessarily for the masses. A podcast (and a social media post too, for that matter) teaches principles. Medicine still requires context. That’s why I see physician podcasts - and more so, videos - as both one of the greatest opportunities in healthcare… and one of its greatest challenges. Knowledge has become scalable. Medical judgment hasn’t. What do you think? Are physician podcasts strengthening the doctor-patient relationship or changing it in ways we haven’t fully considered? And on that note, I’m putting my services out there for video creation, through what I’ve already built in SoMeDocs: not delivering content assets like our competitors, but rather helping physicians build a recognizable professional presence over time through content, publication, and an ecosystem designed specifically for healthcare. Share this development with anyone who could use it. It’s the real deal.

Medical imaging professionals don't need to be convinced of the value they bring to patient care every day. The challenge is ensuring that value is equally visible in leadership discussions, healthcare policy, and the decisions that shape the future of the profession. In our latest episode of Rethink Imaging, Christopher St John sits down with Brandon S., the first-ever back-to-back President of the ASRT, to explore what it takes to move from recognition to real influence. Together, they discuss: • Why visibility alone isn't enough to advance the profession. • The difference between volunteerism and advocacy, and why both have an important role to play. • The thinking behind the ASRT's Be Seen campaign and what it hoped to achieve. • Why investing in leadership, research, and professional representation will help shape the future of medical imaging. If you care about where medical imaging is heading, not just where it is today, this is a conversation worth listening to. Listen now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube.
