The imbalance between producers and service providers/startups in US aquaculture is getting really, really bad. I'm not sure if this trend tracks in other places around the world, would love to hear someone's thoughts on it. For me, technology and services are best deployed in aquaculture to make an existing process more efficient in some way. As a producer, I'm never going to gamble on something entirely unproven. It has to be a better/more efficient version of something I'm already doing. I actually feel sort of bad for the technology startups because I don't think they understand what they're really getting into. In the US aquaculture space at least, if there isn't a functional industry, supply chain, production process, etc. to optimize in some way, there is nothing to sell. And in case you haven't been keeping up with current events, where are the producers in the US? Where are the supply chains? Where is there a functional process for these 'tech startups' to improve?

Dr. Liza Gupta-founder of SNL Innovations Private Limited (InnoFarms), a startup revolutionizing decentralized food processing through patent-pending aseptic processing technology. Every year, India loses millions of tonnes of fruits and vegetables due to inadequate processing infrastructure. InnoFarms addresses this challenge by enabling decentralized, on-farm processing that extends shelf life, minimizes wastage, enhances farmer incomes, and strengthens the agricultural supply chain. Through support under the SAMRIDH programme, MeitY Startup Hub has enabled the startup with ₹40 lakh in investment support, facilitating technology development, prototype refinement, commercialization, product validation, pilot deployments, and ecosystem connections. #aidhamaka

Bioprime™ 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬 10 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲. I've been reflecting on the journey that brought us here—from a small team of scientists with a vision to build world-class agricultural technologies, to a company working with thousands of farmers and partners who are shaping the future of agriculture. The past decade has been filled with breakthroughs, setbacks, lessons, and countless moments that shaped who we are today. As a founder you are required to take bets- some work fabulously well and some don't. More importantly, it reinforced our belief that meaningful innovation happens when science meets real-world problems. I have captured some of these reflections, learnings, and the principles that guided our growth in this article: 𝐀 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧- What Ten Years of Building BioPrime Taught Me About Platforms, Discovery, and Compounding Innovation I hope it resonates with fellow founders, scientists, innovators, and anyone passionate about building technology-driven impact. What have been some of your most valuable lessons? Happy reading. #BioPrime #10Years #FoundationDay #ADecadeOfInnovation #AgTech #Biotech #Leadership #StartupJourney #MadeInIndia https://lnkd.in/dAxTQZPa Amit Shinde Shekhar Bhosle
