Broadcom recently joined UCLA, Applied Materials, GlobalFoundries, Meta, and Synopsys Inc to officially launch the Semiconductor Hub at UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, a first-of-its-kind collaboration designed to accelerate semiconductor innovation and strengthen U.S. technology leadership. The launch brought together industry leaders, researchers, faculty, and students to discuss the future of AI-powered chip technologies, advanced research, and workforce development. Through collaboration across the semiconductor ecosystem, from silicon and packaging to EDA tools and cloud infrastructure, the Hub will help drive breakthroughs that support faster computing, improved energy efficiency, and next-generation applications.
