Business France at AUSSPACE 2026 in Sydney - Day 1 🚀 🪐 The Business France Australia team, represented by Jean-joseph Parre, together with Maxime Belkessa from the Economic Department of The Embassy of France in Australia, was pleased to attend AUSSPACE 2026, one of Australia's leading events dedicated to the space industry. This year's edition once again highlighted the growing dynamism of Australia's space ecosystem and the quality of exchanges between industry leaders, researchers, government agencies, space organisations, investors and international partners. We would like to acknowledge the outstanding quality of the keynote presentations and panel discussions throughout the summit, which addressed a range of strategic topics including sovereign space capabilities, dual-use technologies, Space Domain Awareness, advanced manufacturing, and international cooperation. A special thank you to Marie Le Pellec, PhD (European Space Agency) for taking the time to discuss the critical challenges and opportunities surrounding space sustainability, an increasingly important topic for the long-term future of the global space sector. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to AIAA , Lisa Vitaris, MBA GAICD CompIEAust EngExec, Space Connect and the Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAA) for their invitation and for organising such a high-quality event bringing together the key stakeholders shaping the future of the Australian space industry. As Europe's leading space nation, France is committed to strengthening cooperation with Australia across a range of strategic areas including Earth Observation, satellite communications, Space Domain Awareness, defence space, advanced manufacturing, and sustainable space operations. Events such as AUSSPACE continue to demonstrate the strong potential for collaboration between the French, European and Australian space ecosystems, particularly as Australia deepens its engagement with Europe through initiatives such as Horizon Europe and other international partnerships.
