The Marco Polo Drive reaches China, and the Silk Road has never felt more alive. The Xinjiang stop marked a landmark moment in the journey. The convoy crossed into China through Khorgos, one of the most significant land gateways along the ancient Silk Road, welcomed with a celebration befitting the historic occasion. From there, the adventure only deepened with an exhilarating electric off-road experience through the Kumtag Desert, proving that BYD's technology performs not just on highways and city streets, but across the most demanding terrain on earth. Along the way, a dedicated FLASH Charging station brought ultra-fast charging to the heart of the Silk Road. The journey then closed with a visit to the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, one of the most breathtaking cultural landmarks along the ancient route, connecting the expedition's message of peace, sustainability and connectivity to centuries of shared human history. The Silk Road never stopped. It just got electrified. ⚡ #BYD #FLASHCharging #TheMarcoPoloDrive #Xinjiang #China #ElectricMobility

The transition to electric mobility also relies on expanding charging infrastructure and advancing technologies that support reliable, long-distance travel.

An inspiring milestone that beautifully connects history with the future of mobility. The #SilkRoad has always been a route for innovation, trade, and cultural exchange. Seeing electric mobility and ultra-fast charging infrastructure extending across these historic corridors demonstrates how sustainable transportation is becoming a truly global reality. Congratulations to the #BYD team on this remarkable achievement!

If anyone else is interested in participating in this challenge... We will be participating in the E-Nordkapp Challenge with our BYD Seal U design starting on December 27th, 2026. This will give the BYD Seal U the opportunity to demonstrate its quality and capabilities in temperatures as low as -40°C. We are excited about it! https://www.enordkapp-challenge.org/route-enc2026/
