Day 1 of The Impact Circle 2026 kicked off this morning at Dolce La Hulpe, Brussels. Selected participants arrived, met each other over brunch, then took their seats for the official opening, hosted by Kayvan Nikjou. Momchil Sabev, LL.M.(KCL), Director of the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), set the tone early: around 5% of EIC applications succeed. Everyone in the room today cleared that bar. "There is no place like Europe to build a start-up. The success of this day isn't measured by how many people are here. It's measured by the quality of the conversations happening in these rooms."
