When navigating the job market, we often focus heavily on just one dimension: the ROLE But there’s an equally important second dimension that completely changes your career trajectory: the DOMAIN Think of your career path as a coordinate plane where X is your role, and Y is your industry/domain. Your skills aren't static; how they are applied and the problems you solve change entirely depending on where you sit on that matrix. The best time to explore this 2D space is during college. Internships offer a low-stakes, short-term commitment that gives you the rare freedom to test different intersections before choosing a long-term direction. I decided to explore this space as much as I could, and ended up working in 5 different domains. (I have plotted my exploration in the 2D space 🙂) My advice to second-year and third-year students will be to explore as much as you can to grow yourself and find the role and domain that excites you the most! #CareerAdvice #Internship #Careers #Engineering #Placements

🚀 Engineering success doesn't begin in the final year—it begins on your very first day of college. Many students believe that placements, internships, and career opportunities are determined only in the final semester. In reality, every year of engineering plays a crucial role in shaping your future. This carousel outlines a practical roadmap to help engineering students: Build a strong academic foundation Develop technical and professional skills Gain real-world experience through projects and internships Prepare confidently for placements, higher studies, or entrepreneurship Remember, your degree is just one part of the journey. Consistent learning, curiosity, adaptability, and hands-on experience are what truly set you apart. 🎯 If you could give one piece of advice to your first-year engineering self, what would it be? Share it in the comments and help the next generation of engineers. #Engineering #EngineeringStudents #CareerRoadmap #CareerDevelopment #EngineeringEducation #FutureSkills #Internships #Placements #Learning #Technology #StudentSuccess

👉 👉 👉 “Placement Readiness Is Not a Final-Year Repair; It Is a Semester-Wise Evidence System” Engineering placement readiness fails when semesters are treated as isolated exam cycles instead of cumulative capability cycles. The missing link is evidence. Labs must become portfolio items. Course outcomes must become program outcome proof. Projects must show validation. Internships must be prepared by Semester 4-5. Capstones must begin with a measurable plan by Semester 5. This infographic reframes placement as an evidence-building journey: Foundation -> Core Build -> Specialization & Validation -> Conversion. The most important rule is simple: if a semester ends without recruiter-readable proof, that semester has not fully contributed to placement readiness. ▶️ dasusbalijepalli.org ▶️https://lnkd.in/dGte4Wdp #HigherEducation #EngineeringEducation #OutcomeBasedEducation #PlacementReadiness #Employability #COPO #CareerReadiness #StudentSuccess #EngineeringPlacements #Capstone #Internships

Internship offer letters has no value . Internship certificates have no value . Nor does the stpend you received during internships. What is of value is the projects you have completed and #skills you have learnt during the internships . The #careerpathways which ignite your passion visible through the demonstrated skills. #Repeatabletasks are or will be already automated through #Artificialintelligence. Nothing written on paper resume might be trusted. So proud to have worked on this project. We put years into developing the VR tools used as part of the PATHS program! Earlier this year I spoke to the first ever cohort - the talent and diversity in PATHS is amazing. I highly encourage anyone in edutech, neurodiverse support, or engineering to check out our work!
