EPA brownfield grant funding faces a steep decline. With FY2027 funding expected to decrease to approximately $64 million, the number of competitive grants awarded could fall by 52 percent, while total announced investment could drop by 76 percent. As competition intensifies, a clear strategy and compelling application will matter more than ever.
