This is an interesting little article and something that I've firmly believed since AI started to really become "a thing" about 3-4 years ago. AI tools are just another tool for the toolbox. You still need a real human to build the relationships, to understand what isn't being said, and to add life experience that a chat agent/tool just simply can't. For me, AI is great in helping with gathering requirements, helping to identify gaps in those requirements, creating user stories and use cases in a fraction of the time that it would take a person. Then let's not forget about productivity tools, such as Copilot, that save us countless hours on the more menial tasks. AI can be used for good, when it's used correctly.

Harvard Business Review's latest research offers an important reminder: AI isn't replacing expertise—it is redefining it. One insight stood out to me: employers are no longer looking only for people who can complete tasks. They are looking for professionals who can work intelligently with AI while contributing what AI cannot. According to the research, three capabilities are becoming increasingly valuable: • Sound judgment to evaluate AI-generated outputs. • Learning agility to adapt to rapidly evolving AI tools. • Strong communication and collaboration to translate AI insights into business value. For experienced professionals, this is encouraging. Years of domain knowledge, decision-making, and leadership are becoming more—not less—important in an AI-enabled workplace. The message is clear: learning AI is necessary, but developing human capabilities is what will truly differentiate us. As professionals, perhaps the question is no longer "Will AI replace my job?" but rather "How can I combine AI with my expertise to create greater value?" A thought-provoking read from Harvard Business Review, and certainly worth reflecting on. #ArtificialIntelligence #FutureOfWork #Leadership #Learning #CareerGrowth #DigitalTransformation #GenerativeAI #HBR

I do not think the best AI conversation is “humans versus AI.” That framing is too simple. The better conversation is: Which tasks will change? Which skills will matter more? Which roles need to be redesigned? Which people can use AI to increase their value? Recent workforce research is pointing toward a shift in skill demand, with AI-related skills rising while routine task demand becomes more pressured. That matches what I am seeing conceptually: this is less about every job disappearing and more about work being redesigned. Routine work will be pressured. Basic summaries. Simple research. Repetitive documentation. Routine reporting. Low-context coordination. But the work that requires judgment becomes more important. Trust. Leadership. Mission understanding. Stakeholder management. Ethics. Problem framing. Accountability. AI can help people move faster. But it cannot replace understanding what matters. The future belongs to people who can combine domain expertise, AI fluency, and judgment. That is the combination I would bet on. #Leadership #AI #FutureOfWork #ProfessionalDevelopment #Execution

🤖 AI is becoming part of everyday work. From analysing data to automating routine tasks, it's changing how many of us work. But one thing I don't think will change is this: The future workforce will need more than AI skills. We'll also need people who can: 💬 communicate clearly 🤝 collaborate across teams 🧠 think critically 🌱 adapt to change ❤️ lead with empathy Technology can accelerate work. People are still the ones who build trust, make decisions, solve complex problems, and bring ideas to life. Perhaps the conversation shouldn't just be "How do we build AI capability?" It should also be: "How do we continue developing the human skills that help people and organisations thrive?" I'm interested to hear your thoughts. Which human skill do you think will become even more valuable in the age of AI? #ArtificialIntelligence #Leadership #LearningAndDevelopment #FutureOfWork #DigitalTransformation #WorkforceDevelopment
