ICRISAT’s Post

Today, ICRISAT welcomed 39 participants from 19 countries to the two-week international training program, Mastering Technology Transfer: A Global Pathway for Developing Countries, being held from 27 July to 7 August 2026 under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program of the Ministry of External Affairs, India. Organized by the ICRISAT South-South Cooperation in Agriculture (#ISSCA), and ICRISAT's Dryland Academy the course aims to strengthen participants' understanding of technology transfer processes and equip them with practical approaches to ensure innovations reach the stakeholders who need them most. The program was inaugurated by Dr Himanshu Pathak, Director General of ICRISAT. Dr Dr. Stanford (Stan) Blade, KSLA, Deputy Director General – Research and Innovation welcomed the participants and encouraged them to learn from one another's experiences and exchange ideas. Dr Surya Mani Tripathi, Ph.D., LL.B, RTTP, Global Head - Legal Services, ICRISAT, introduced the participants to ISSCA initiative and its role in strengthening collaboration among developing countries through capacity building, knowledge exchange, and technology transfer to advance sustainable agricultural development.
