Excited to share that I recently joined the AI in Education Podcast with Gerrie Schoeman (the MATHmechanic) for a conversation about the future of AI in education and why we need to rethink how we measure student learning. We discussed how education has relied heavily on multiple-choice assessments for years, but real learning requires much more than selecting an answer. Students need opportunities to explain their thinking, interpret information, analyze complex text, and develop critical thinking skills that prepare them for the real world. That challenge is a major part of why I built Maslera AI AI has the potential to help educators move beyond surface-level data and better understand how students comprehend, reason, and respond while learning. The future of educational AI should not just automate grading or generate content. It should help teachers identify misconceptions, guide instructional next steps, and support deeper student thinking. Great conversation about where education is headed and the type of infrastructure schools will need as AI becomes more integrated into teaching and learning.
