One thing I've learned during customer implementations at Scalpel AI is that every organization is eager to start realizing value as quickly as possible. Speed matters ... but so does getting the implementation right. That's why we've built a structured four-stage implementation process that keeps projects on track while giving customers confidence every step of the way. One of the biggest topics we address early is change management. New technology is only successful when people embrace it, so we focus on education, communication, and hands-on training from day one to help teams transition with confidence. Another area that often surprises customers is the level of detail required for a surgical tray's bill of materials. It's a foundational element for training our AI models and ensuring accurate, reliable results. Developing this data is a collaborative effort between the customer and the Scalpel team. The best implementations aren't just about deploying software ... they're built on partnership. When both teams work together with a shared goal, the result is a smoother go-live, faster adoption, and greater long-term success.

Why do so many AI initiatives stall after pilots? It's not just about the technology. It's about what frontline teams actually need to scale adoption and where operating models haven't caught up. In this PSA Leaders Forum, leaders from Professional Services, Support, and Customer Success share where AI is already removing friction, and what it takes to operationalize it without disrupting delivery. 👉 Watch the on-demand recording to learn how to move beyond experimentation: https://ow.ly/ZVtR50Zk4nJ Upland Software #PSASoftware #ProjectManagement #ProfessionalServices #AIAdoption #ServiceLeaders

Another way to raise the bar for users. One of my colleagues prefers to give live demos during customer meetings. As client meetings happen in different environments, I suggested using a pre-recorded video. After joining several customer meetings, I changed my mind. Live demos build trust. They show that your product actually works, and surprisingly, not many companies are confident enough to do them. Our engineering team dug deep into the ingestion pipeline, and today we released a significantly faster document processing engine in one of our VaultSage Enterprise applications. Sometimes the best way to improve the customer experience isn't a better presentation. It's making the product fast enough that you no longer need one. If your team handles large volumes of trading documents and wants to automate document processing with AI, feel free to reach out to my colleagues. https://ent.vaultsage.ai #VaultSage #EnterpriseAI #DocumentAI #TradeTech #AIAgents #NURIEAI

Consultant’s Field Note 030: The Suggestion Box With No Bottom When users report a product problem, the missing piece is often not another feedback form. It is a closed feedback loop: Acknowledgement. A case or bug number. A clear owner. Visible status. An indication of what happens next. And, eventually, resolution or a reasoned decision. Without those elements, a feedback channel is simply a suggestion box with no bottom. The technology already exists. Platforms such as Luciq , Marker.io, and Usersnap can capture screenshots, recordings, technical metadata, and contextual bug reports, then route them into operational workflows. Productboard, Canny, UserVoice, and Featurebase help organizations consolidate feedback, communicate status, publish roadmaps, and notify users when something changes. So the unresolved gap is not primarily technical. It is governance and commitment. Platforms still decide whether a user receives acknowledgement, whether anyone owns the issue, whether its status is visible, and whether the person who contributed the feedback ever hears what happened. This matters even more during major product rollouts. Users encountering real-world bugs are providing live testing, contextual evidence, and—in many cases—free troubleshooting. They should not need a large following, repeated public escalation, or exceptional persistence merely to know that their report reached someone. A mature platform should make it easy for every user—not only the loudest—to be heard. The real question for OpenAI and other rapidly evolving platform providers is no longer: “Can we collect feedback?” It is: “Are we prepared to acknowledge it, assign it, track it, and close the loop?” Sources: official product materials from Luciq, Marker.io, Usersnap, Productboard, Canny, UserVoice, and Featurebase. If you sell AI tools to small businesses (SMBs), you've likely proposed a 'pilot run.' It seems like a low-risk way to prove value: let their team monitor the AI for a month and see how it performs. But in reality, AI pilots are where SMB adoption goes to die. Small business operators do not have the bandwidth to run, monitor, or debug pilot software. They are already working 60-hour weeks managing inventory, customers, and operations. If a tool requires them to act as a proctor for an AI agent, they will quickly ignore it. They don't want a pilot to manage; they want immediate, invisible relief. At Verslay, we've stopped selling broad AI pilots. Instead, we scope down to a single, highly specific micro-workflow—like auto-drafting replies for customer complaints—and run it with 100% reliability from day one. By delivering instant utility directly to their email without forcing them to configure settings, we build trust immediately. SMBs don't need a month-long experiment. They need a single workflow done right, today. What has been your experience trying to onboard busy, non-technical teams onto new software tools? #FounderJourney #SMBAdoption #ProductDesign #Verslay

The line that matters in DJ's post: helping people make better decisions, not just automating tasks. Most "AI for the enterprise" pitches quietly promise to remove the human. Cora does the opposite — it puts a merchant's own data one question away, so the person making the promo call is faster and more sure of it, not sidelined. That distinction isn't marketing. It's the design principle. Proud of this team.
Building Cora has reinforced something we believe strongly at Cognira: the future of enterprise software isn’t just about automating tasks, it’s about helping people make better decisions. Promotion teams have always had valuable data and expertise. The challenge has been turning that information into faster, more confident actions. Cora brings a new way of interacting with technology: asking questions, exploring insights, and moving from understanding to execution in a more natural way. Proud of the team behind this innovation and excited to see how it helps retailers rethink what’s possible. https://lnkd.in/gXQsPnmK
