June brought with it a unique but exciting challenge for troublehouse. For the first time since 2014, we entered into the unfamiliar world of academia in collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University. Supporting the North, working in site specific locations and finding ways to make theatre accesible have always been at the core for what troublehouse stands for and this collaboration allowed us to do just that. Performed in the Riverside Boardroom at the Liverpool Museum, the backdrop of the Mersey provided the perfect venue for a live simulation which explored themes of Crisis Management as well as Economical vs Enviromental sacrifices in pursuit of Renewable Energy . Three local actors were hired to take on the roles of three separate stakeholders and engange in the live debate, allowing them to manage and facilitate the simulation whilst remaining in character for the duration. The 'performances' took place infront of an invited audience of academics and professionals and will form the basis of a publication later down the road.

As conversations around education continue to evolve, it is encouraging to see increasing recognition of the role structured sports can play in improving attendance and supporting holistic development. Evidence like this strengthens the case for integrating sports into mainstream education. #NDTV#SportForChange

💃 Co-owner seeks $500,000 and CEO removal after alleged student poaching by rival studio. Marcelle Meyer sued June 24 in Westchester Supreme Court, alleging partner Gaye Giannotti opened Studio G in Elmsford (three miles from WPAS), recruited instructors and students, used WPAS communication records and misrepresented WPAS's status. The story of VCD in America is a fascinating case study in technological adoption and market timing. Despite its advantages like low production cost and digital quality, VCD struggled to gain traction. The timing was particularly brutal, arriving just before the superior DVD format, which offered better picture quality and convenience. Furthermore, VCD's picture quality was comparable to VHS, and most households already owned VCRs. The lack of robust copy protection also made Hollywood studios hesitant to release major films.
