Medical coverage is foundational, but it’s no longer the full picture for your clients. The strongest strategies we’re seeing help employers think beyond traditional health plans. Spending accounts, education benefits, and wellness initiatives all play a role in building a more complete, competitive offering that reflects how employees actually live and work. Even small additions, like a Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA), can make a noticeable difference. It’s a flexible option that allows employees to choose the perks that matter most to them, helping drive stronger engagement and perceived value. Every employer wants to offer great benefits. Fewer ask whether employees are actually getting the full value from them. A health plan is one of the largest investments many organizations make each year. Yet once open enrollment ends, the conversation often goes quiet. Over the years, I've seen employers get far better outcomes by treating benefits the way they treat any other major investment: they communicate, educate, measure, and improve. Employees are far more likely to take advantage of preventive care and wellness resources when they understand what's available, and why it matters. How does your organization keep employees engaged with their benefits beyond open enrollment?

This one is for the employees — the ones showing up every day and feeling it. Physical wear is one of the quietest reasons good people leave their jobs. It's not always dramatic. It's just: I can't keep doing this at this pace, with this much pain, and no real support. Regional Health Center has partnered with Align & Co. to give Central MN businesses a real solution — on-site and near-site chiropractic care structured as a tax-advantaged employee benefit. For both employer and employee. What that looks like for you: - Care at or near your workplace - Available before your shift starts (as early as 5am) - Pre-tax savings for you and your employer - No disruption to your schedule If your employer has 10+ W-2 employees, they likely qualify. The evaluation is completely free. Send this to your boss. Share it with HR. That one action could change what your benefits look like next year.

Many employers measure the success of their health plan by one number: the renewal increase. While that's important, it only tells part of the story. A stronger approach is to ask: ✅ Are our employees getting the care they need? ✅ Are we managing pharmacy costs effectively? ✅ Have we identified our biggest cost drivers? ✅ Is our plan supporting employee health while remaining financially sustainable? A successful benefits strategy isn't defined by one renewal. It's built through informed decisions made throughout the year. The more you understand your data, the more opportunities you'll have to improve both employee outcomes and plan performance. What metrics does your organization focus on beyond renewal rates? #DillinghamBenefits #EmployeeBenefits #BenefitsStrategy

Family health coverage now costs employers nearly $27,000 per employee per year, and that figure has risen every year for the past three years running. For local governments managing tight budgets and fixed headcounts, that’s a budget crisis waiting to happen. The Employee Health, Wellness, and Benefits Optimization Solutions cooperative contract, solicited by the Michigan Municipal Services Authority and the Alliance for Innovation, is designed to help public agencies get more out of every dollar they spend on employee health. Two fully-vetted suppliers – TouchCare and Carrum Health – cover the full range of what public sector benefits teams actually need: telehealth and direct primary care, benefits analytics, wellness programmes, and cost containment tools across pharmacy and claims. When you're building benefits for your team, the policy itself matters just as much as the monthly cost. Employers often look at health first, then realize dental, vision, and supplemental benefits can affect employee satisfaction and retention too. A group health policy can be structured to fit your workforce, but the right mix depends on your budget, company size, and goals. If you're reviewing options, ask us to walk through what fits your situation. #GroupHealth https://bit.ly/4vPLr4i

Many employees don't realize their benefits include much more than doctor visits and prescriptions. Dental and vision plans often come with discounts on entertainment, travel, family attractions, wellness programs, eyewear, hearing services, and much more. Unfortunately, these valuable perks often go unused simply because no one tells employees they exist. One of the simplest ways employers can improve the value of their benefits program isn't by spending more money. It's by helping employees understand what they already have. That's why I enjoy sharing these resources with my clients throughout the year. A healthcare program shouldn't only provide value when someone gets sick. It should provide value every day. If you're just now seeing some of my posts - HI! I'm currently in an 8 part series where I'm breaking down some of the biggest blind spots that I see when it comes to employee benefits. Today we're covering the "One-Plan" Myth One of the biggest mistakes that I see with employers is offering only one health plan and hoping it works for everyone. I have to admit, the "one-size fits all" approach is one that should never be an option when it comes to health plans. For example - if your workforce likely includes: 👨💼 Younger employees who reside in Riverside/San Marco or Southside/Town Center 👨💼 Families from St. Johns County or the Beaches 👨💼 Skilled laborers who commute Each will have different needs which ultimately leads to different usage patterns. Offering more than 1 health plan gives your employees options to compare against to ensure they make the right decision for their families. 💡 Not sure if your current plan structure is working? I can show you a simply way to offer more value without driving the price up!
